Stonameter Privacy PolicyLast updated: September 27, 20261. Who We AreStonameter is owned and operated by Stonameter LLC, a Maryland limited liability company in the United States. In this policy, “Stonameter,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Stonameter LLC.This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and delete personal information through the Stonameter app, stonameter.com, and communications with us.Stonameter is a social app for rating and discovering experiences, including cannabis (weed) products, food, movies, TV shows, games, music, activities, events, and custom experiences. Cannabis product ratings and reviews are part of the platform. Ratings reflect the quality of an experience, not how high someone is or how much cannabis they consume. Stonameter does not encourage excessive, unsafe, or illegal cannabis consumption. Cannabis use is not required to use the app. Stonameter is not a cannabis marketplace, dispensary, delivery or sourcing service, or medical service.For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].2. Information We CollectAccount and sign-in information: We collect your email address, username, account identifier, account creation and sign-in timestamps, age-eligibility confirmations, and dated records of legal acknowledgments. Apple or Google may supply a name, email address, profile information, and authentication identifiers when you choose their sign-in service. If Apple provides a private relay email through Hide My Email, we can use that address instead of your personal email.Firebase Authentication and the applicable sign-in provider process authentication credentials. We do not store your raw account password in our Firestore application database.Content and social activity: We collect profile photos and biographies; experience entries and images; ratings, reviews, comments and replies; lists, favorites, likes, follows and blocks; and information needed to deliver in-app notifications.Reports and support: We collect information you provide when reporting content or contacting us, including your account identifier, email, reported content or account, reasons, explanations, attachments, correspondence, and timestamps. Other users may provide information about you through comments, replies, or reports. Moderation records may include pending content, screening results, review decisions, and restrictions.Technical information: Our app and providers process information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as IP addresses, device or browser information, requests, authentication events, timestamps, errors, and operational logs. We keep technical records to prevent spam, identify repeated submissions, coordinate operations, and confirm deletion.Content you choose to submit may reveal sensitive personal information. A cannabis review does not establish whether someone consumed cannabis. Avoid posting sensitive information about yourself or others that you do not want disclosed.The current app does not request your contacts, precise GPS location, microphone, or advertising identifier. It does not currently include Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or an advertising SDK.3. Photos, Camera Access, and Device StorageWhen you choose to upload an image, the app receives and uploads the image you select or take. Where applicable, iOS requests permission to use your camera or photo library. You can decline optional permissions and manage them in device Settings. Declining permission may prevent that feature from working, but does not require unrelated information.The app stores preferences, cached content, sign-in information, and deletion receipts on your device. Device storage is separate from server records and may persist according to the app's and operating system's storage behavior. Removing the app does not itself request deletion of your Stonameter account.4. Our WebsiteOur website provides information about Stonameter and ways to contact us. It does not currently provide account registration or a submission form.The website uses Carrd's website platform, Cloudflare delivery and security services, and Google Fonts. These services receive technical information needed to load and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser information, requested resources, and access times.Cloudflare may set security cookies, including its __cf_bm bot-protection cookie. Loading Google Fonts causes your browser to make requests to Google. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may affect website functionality. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or information you provide.Provider details: Carrd privacy information, Cloudflare cookie information, and Google Privacy Policy.5. How We Use InformationWe use information to create and authenticate accounts; display profiles and content; operate reviews, ratings, lists, favorites, follows, comments, and notifications; organize discovery and calculate service statistics; process uploads and screen content; investigate reports and prevent abuse; respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; maintain reliability and security; process and confirm deletion; and meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.Information needed to authenticate an account or provide a requested feature is required for that function. You do not need to add a biography, upload a profile photo, or publish a review just to create an account.6. What Other People Can SeeStonameter is a social service. Usernames, profile photos, biographies, published reviews, ratings, comments, experience entries, and public-facing activity may be visible to others. Published experience entries, reviews, comments, and images may be accessible outside the app. Other people may copy, save, or share public content.Stonameter does not currently offer a fully private-profile mode. Following relationships and some interactions, including likes, may be visible to other users.Lists have separate visibility controls. Favorites and My Experiences are initially private. Check the visibility setting for each custom list. Making a list private does not make its underlying public experiences or your separately published reviews private.Login email information, block lists, private lists, and account-specific notifications are not ordinary public profile fields. Authorized operators and providers may access information as needed to operate, secure, or support the service.Blocking limits interactions and visibility within supported app features; it cannot prevent every way someone might obtain public content.7. Service Providers and Other DisclosuresGoogle and Firebase: We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and related Google Cloud infrastructure for accounts, databases, uploads, backend processing, security, and operational monitoring.Apple and Google sign-in: The provider you select processes information needed to authenticate you. Apple also operates App Store and TestFlight services.Content-safety services: Submitted text may be sent to Google Cloud Natural Language, and uploaded images may be processed by Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch, to identify possible safety violations.Website and communication providers: Providers deliver and protect our website and process email communications.We require providers processing personal information on our behalf to use it for authorized service purposes and protect it under applicable confidentiality, security, and data-protection obligations. The protection required of these providers must be at least equivalent to the protection described in this policy and required by applicable Apple guidelines.Providers may also process certain information independently under their own terms and privacy policies. Those policies do not replace Stonameter's responsibilities for information it collects or discloses.Relevant information: Firebase privacy documentation, Google Privacy Policy, and Apple Privacy Policy.We may also disclose information at your direction, including when you publish content; when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; to investigate abuse or protect safety, security, or legal rights; in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or business-asset transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations; or with your permission for another clearly explained purpose.8. Automated ModerationAutomated safety tools evaluate submitted text and images for possible policy violations, including patterns associated with threats, exploitation, scams, spam, or other objectionable content.Screening can cause a submission to be held, rejected, or referred for human review. Authorized moderators may review content, relevant account information, screening results, and reports.Automated results can be incorrect. Contact [email protected] to request review of a moderation decision.9. Advertising, Data Sales, and Future ChangesWe do not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or operate targeted advertising in the app.Disclosing information to providers for authentication, hosting, storage, moderation, security, and other service functions is different from selling information to advertisers.Future business plans are not current practices. Before introducing advertising, additional tracking, data sales, or materially different uses of personal information, we will update disclosures and implement any required notices, consent requests, and opt-out mechanisms. This policy is not advance consent to future advertising or data sales.10. How Long We Keep InformationRetention depends on the information's purpose, sensitivity, operational necessity, applicable legal obligations, and relevant disputes or safety concerns.Accounts and published content: We generally retain these while needed to provide the service, unless you remove them through supported features, request deletion, or we remove them for moderation or legal reasons. We do not automatically delete accounts, reviews, or ratings merely because they are old or inactive.Pending and temporary information: Pending moderation submissions may remain until a moderation decision or account deletion. Unused uploads, anti-spam records, and other temporary information may remain until cleanup occurs. These categories do not currently have a guaranteed automatic expiration period.Deletion records: We retain limited request information, such as an account/request identifier, status, timestamps, and a protected receipt-token hash, to coordinate deletion, prevent stale sessions from restoring data, confirm completion, and handle support. Automatic expiration of these records is not currently enabled.Support and safety records: Correspondence and limited moderation, security, or legal records may remain separately when needed to address the underlying matter. Certain moderator-action identifiers on other people's safety records are not automatically removed by account deletion. Contact us to request review of retained information.Provider recovery copies and logs: Removing information from the active app does not immediately erase every provider-held copy. Our current file-storage configuration retains recoverable deleted objects for seven days. Our standard Google Cloud log bucket uses 30-day retention; the required audit-log bucket uses 400-day retention. Firebase states that removal of associated authentication information from its live and backup systems can take up to 180 days after deletion is initiated. Other provider-managed operational records may follow separate schedules. These periods apply to different categories, not to every type of information.See Firebase's retention information, or contact us with questions about a particular record.11. Account DeletionRequest deletion in Profile Settings → Account Deletion. Contact [email protected] if you cannot access your account or need assistance.Once accepted, deletion continues on our servers even if you close the app. The requesting device can check whether the request is pending or confirmed complete.Cleanup removes your active account and associated profile, sign-in account, username claim, lists, follow and block relationships, likes, ratings, reviews, comments, account-uploaded images, and pending uploads. It also removes related records and structured references covered by the cleanup process.Shared experience catalog entries, including cannabis product entries, may remain so other people can keep rating them. We remove the departing account's creator identifiers, uploaded experience images, and personal description fields from retained entries. Other users' independent reviews and content may remain.A custom experience title or another person's text can still contain personal information. Retaining a catalog entry does not guarantee every word is anonymous. Contact us to request review or removal of that information.Limited deletion records, provider recovery copies, logs, correspondence, and certain safety records may remain as described above. Deletion is not necessarily instantaneous. If a request remains pending after 24 hours, contact us; this is a support threshold, not a promise that every provider-held copy is erased within 24 hours.Deleting your Stonameter account does not delete your Apple Account or Google Account. Disconnecting a sign-in provider or uninstalling the app does not by itself delete your Stonameter account.12. Your Choices and Privacy RightsYou can manage supported profile and content settings, choose whether to upload images, change available list-visibility settings, and request account deletion.You can withdraw device permissions in Settings. Where processing depends on consent, withdraw it using the relevant control or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing, and a feature may stop working without necessary information.Depending on the laws that apply, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; receive eligible information in a portable format; withdraw consent; exercise rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or sensitive information; appeal a denied request; or complain to a privacy regulator.Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity or an authorized representative's authority. Do not send passwords or authentication codes.We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain limitations or reasons for denying a request. International UsersStonameter LLC is responsible for its processing of personal information. We operate from the United States, and the current app backend is hosted there. Providers may process information in other countries.Where European, UK, or similar laws apply, the legal basis depends on the purpose: performance of our agreement for requested account and app functions; legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and administration, subject to applicable balancing and safeguards; legal obligation for required compliance; and consent for optional processing requiring permission. Cannabis use is not required to use Stonameter. People who do not use cannabis can discover what their friends enjoy, share reviews, and rate experiences sober.Stonameter is not a cannabis marketplace, dispensary, seller, delivery or sourcing service, or medical service.2. EligibilityStonameter is intended for adults 21 and older. By using Stonameter, you confirm that you are at least 21 and that your use of the service is permitted under the laws that apply where you are located.An App Store content rating is separate from Stonameter’s account-eligibility requirements and does not override the 21+ requirement.You are responsible for complying with applicable laws. Access to Stonameter does not establish that possessing, purchasing, consuming, or participating in anything discussed on the platform is lawful where you are located.3. Responsible UseStonameter does not encourage excessive, unsafe, or illegal cannabis consumption.Do not use the service to pressure others to consume cannabis, promote excessive consumption, organize consumption challenges or dangerous dares, or encourage impaired driving or other unsafe behavior.Do not drive, operate machinery, or put yourself or others at risk while impaired.Reviews and other user submissions express personal opinions. They are not medical, legal, dosage, or safety advice. A favorable review or high rating is not a guarantee that a product or activity is safe, legal, or appropriate for you.4. User ContentYou are responsible for the reviews, ratings, lists, profile information, images, comments, experience entries, and other content you submit.Honest, non-transactional cannabis product reviews and discussion are allowed. Reviews must not be used to arrange prohibited transactions or disguise sales promotions.Do not submit content that violates applicable law, another person’s rights, or the Community Guidelines. Prohibited conduct includes credible threats, targeted encouragement of self-harm, harassment campaigns, hateful attacks against people or protected groups, sexual exploitation, privacy violations, impersonation, scams, malicious links, repetitive spam, and fraudulent or coordinated rating manipulation.Profanity, criticism, strong opinions, and jokes are not automatically violations. Content is evaluated in context; describing harmful conduct as a joke does not automatically make it acceptable.Only upload materials you created, own, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally permitted to use. Do not publish another person’s private information or intimate images without permission.5. Intellectual Property and Takedown RequestsStonameter may contain user-submitted references to third-party names, brands, businesses, venues, titles, products, events, teams, artists, and other real-world subjects. Those references do not, by themselves, mean that Stonameter or the person posting is affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by those third parties.Do not use logos, posters, packaging, album art, photographs, stylized titles, or other protected materials without the necessary rights or another lawful basis. It is not blanket permission to publish private information, sell personal information, or begin materially different data uses without any required disclosures or permission.Content removal and account deletion are subject to Section 9 and the Privacy Policy, including the treatment of shared experience catalog entries and limited retained records.7. Repeat Infringers and Repeated ViolationsStonameter may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights or repeatedly violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.We may also remove content, limit uploads, or restrict features when appropriate to address copyright, trademark, privacy, safety, security, or other legal concerns. Serious violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning.8. Moderation, Reporting, and ReviewStonameter supports candid opinions and discussion. Disagreement or offensive language alone does not automatically constitute harassment, but users must follow the safety and conduct rules described in these Terms and the Community Guidelines.We use automated screening and human review to help identify possible violations. Submitted text or images may be held for review, rejected, hidden, or removed. Automated results can be incorrect, and publication does not mean that Stonameter has verified or endorsed the content.We may restrict features, suspend or disable accounts, preserve relevant records, or take other appropriate action to address violations, abuse, or legal and safety risks.Use the available in-app reporting and blocking tools to report problems or limit interactions. You may also contact [email protected] to report a concern or request review of a moderation decision. Blocking cannot prevent every way another person might obtain public content.9. Accounts and Account DeletionYou are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share passwords or authentication codes. If you suspect unauthorized access, secure your sign-in account and contact support.You may edit supported profile information and manage supported content through the app.To request account deletion, go to Profile Settings → Account Deletion. The leaf symbols are rating markers: a higher score means a better-rated experience, not greater intoxication or a recommendation to consume more cannabis.Stonameter does not guarantee that a listed experience or product is safe, legal, available, accurately described, enjoyable, or suitable for every user.Profiles and published content may be visible to others. Lists have separate visibility settings. Making a list private does not make its underlying public experience entries or your separately published reviews private. See the Privacy Policy for details.11. No Cannabis Sales or SourcingStonameter allows honest cannabis product ratings and reviews but does not provide sales, delivery, sourcing, or transaction services.Do not use the service to buy, sell, trade, distribute, source, arrange delivery of, or solicit transactions involving cannabis, controlled substances, tobacco, vape products, alcohol, or anything illegal.Sales advertisements, pricing offers, promotional offers, referral arrangements, or disguised reviews intended to facilitate those transactions are prohibited.This restriction concerns transactions and sourcing; it does not prohibit otherwise permitted, non-transactional product reviews or discussion.12. Changes to the Service and These TermsWe may change, add, suspend, or remove features and may update these Terms.When we update these Terms, we will revise the date and provide additional notice or request agreement when required by applicable law. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using the service and request account deletion.Changes to personal-information practices are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Continued use alone does not provide consent to a new use of personal information that requires separate permission.13. Personal ResponsibilityYou are responsible for your own decisions and conduct on and off the service, including whether to participate in an activity or consume a product discussed by other users.Stonameter does not supervise users’ real-world activities. Content on the platform is not an instruction to undertake an activity, consume a substance, or disregard applicable law or safety precautions.To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stonameter LLC and its team are not responsible for harm resulting from users’ independent decisions, unlawful conduct, misuse of the service, or reliance on other users’ opinions.This section does not excuse Stonameter from responsibilities or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.15. Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stonameter LLC and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of the service.These limitations apply only where lawful. Content expressing personal distress may be removed or limited when necessary to protect users.Respect RightsUse real names when needed for discovery, but do not upload logos, posters, packaging, album art, official images, or other protected materials unless you own them, created them, have permission to use them, or they are provided through an authorized or licensed source.Community Entries Are UnofficialUser-created experiences are community entries. They are not official, sponsored, endorsed, affiliated with, or approved by the brands, venues, artists, teams, publishers, studios, or rights holders they mention.Report ProblemsUse the report tools when content appears illegal, abusive, unsafe, infringing, spammy, misleading, or otherwise violates these Guidelines. Stonameter — Age SuitabilityStonameter’s 18+ App Store content rating reflects its mature subject matter, including cannabis-related references and discussions, alongside user-generated reviews and public comments.Stonameter is a social platform for rating and discovering the quality of experiences, including movies, music, food, games, activities, and cannabis products. Its purpose is to give people an outlet to share opinions, discover what their friends enjoy, and keep track of their favorite experiences—not to encourage marijuana use.Cannabis consumption is not required to use Stonameter. People who do not use cannabis can participate fully, follow friends, discover recommendations, and rate experiences while sober.Ratings reflect the quality of an experience, not how high someone is or how much cannabis they consume. The leaf symbols represent a numerical experience rating. A higher score means a better-rated experience—not greater intoxication.Stonameter does not encourage excessive, unsafe, or illegal cannabis consumption. Our Community Guidelines prohibit encouraging excessive consumption, consumption challenges, impaired driving, and other unsafe behavior.The App Store content rating is separate from account eligibility.
